Before music, Hoseok’s first love was dance. He gained early fame in his hometown of Gwangju as part of the underground street dance crew Neuron, where he specialized in popping and freestyle. This strong foundation in dance gave him a dynamic stage presence that would later become one of BTS’s greatest strengths.
